Job Description:
The Director for Undergraduate Nursing Program will report into the Dean of Nursing and will provide oversight to both the accelerated and traditional Nursing undergraduate programs.
Responsibilities:
Direct, perform, insure, and document all activities required and or suggested by external accreditation bodies and appropriate licensing boards/agencies.
These activities include, but are not limited to, the preparation of self-studies, annual reports, and mitigation of program deficiencies Provide current written job description to the New York State Board of Nursing for all faculty positions Serve as contact person for the department with regard to state, professional, and accrediting groups, the community, and other external contact Coordinate curriculum development, review and comprehensive assessment of curriculum with members of the department that meets accreditation standards Assure didactic instruction, clinical and laboratory experiences reflect an understanding of the Mount program philosophy, objectives, and curriculum Monitor and submit annual systematic plan of evaluation (SEP) Schedule and conduct regular, meaningful Nursing Program meetings and actively participate in College Nursing Departmental, Senior Leadership and Senior Administration meeting Engage in professional work to advance the College's mission Teach me goodness and discipline and knowledge Participate in institutional advancement, professional development, and community service in the pursuit of excellence Provide online program implementation as an integral part of the student educational experience Inform Nursing students of opportunities for scholarships, honors, community service, employment opportunities Participate in scheduling Nursing courses, faculty academic assignments, ordering textbooks, and preparing workload distribution Meet deadlines and organize academic year for example:
Faculty course schedule, mentoring faculty, proctoring, Syllabi, textbook orders, semester schedules, graduation, pinning ceremony and NCLEX-RN exam Assure timely interactive department meetings, documentation of minutes with action items and deadline date Validation of student program completion with conferral of degree in preparation of NCLEX exam Support the activities of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and the Student Nurse Association by soliciting a Nursing Faculty member to sponsor the organization Maintain student advising activities, coordinate Nursing faculty advising needs of Nursing students.
Identify and advocate for services needed by students Assist in the development, evaluation, and revision of student admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies Provide engaged instruction while advising and supporting students Attend and participate in Nursing committee meetings Manage student concerns related to faculty, department, and program Participating in Nursing student recruitment and retention Participate in the application and student selection process Serve to facilitate information sharing, collaborative problem-solving, adequate provision of support services, and promotes positive public relations and understanding of the Mount Nursing Program Develop, maintain and advance relationships with the clinical health care community Manage the allocation, preparation, and monitor the Accelerated Undergraduate Nursing Program budget Assure departmental facilities, instructional equipment, and supplies are up to date and adequate for Nursing Program Faculty
Responsibilities:
Recruit and select Nursing Faculty for employment and monitor and make recommendations for professional development plans, conduct performance reviews and participate in faculty promotion and retention Plan, monitor, and evaluate the instruction provided by Nursing Faculty Determine, with the Dean the need for additional Faculty and reassigned time for administrative duties Promote teaching excellence, professional development and service to the college Requirements Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.
S.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
