DescriptionThe Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives invites applications for the following position on the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team located in the Bronx, just steps from the Freeman stop (2/5) train.
Assistant Program DirectorThe CUCS Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) serves individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness whose needs have not been met by traditional clinic based services.
The ACT team outreaches and enrolls people into its services, provides comprehensive mental health and social service support, helps to obtain and maintain housing, works with individuals to return to a full and satisfying life in the community, and assists with an eventual transition to less intensive services in the community.
ACT services are delivered by a multi-disciplinary, mobile, professional team that utilizes a harm reduction approach and assumes total responsibility for case management, rehabilitation, psychiatric and substance use services.
The ACT team provides at least 80% of its services in the community, primarily through home visits.
The program is serves clients living in the Bronx and Manhattan.
The Assistant Program Director works closely with the Program Director in the overall management of the program.
This includes program development, oversight of daily program operations, clinical intervention, crisis management, billing, compliance, and recruiting staff.
This position supervises social work and case management staff.
The Assistant Program Director is central to fostering the mission and goals of the agency and to creating a program culture that is client-centered, outcome-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.
The position requires strong supervisory and administrative skills and the ability to interface effectively and efficiently with colleagues to ensure quality services and program operations.
RequirementsLMSW, LCSW preferred and 4 years post-masters applicable experience with related populations including supervisory, administrative, and management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacyBilingual Spanish/English is preferredValid NYS driver's license preferred Recommended Skills Administration Assertive Billing Case Management Clinical Works Communication Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
