TIME FRAME: 12 weeks
HOURS: 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday
PAY: $15-16/hr.
LOCATION: Bronx, NY off of the 2 or 5 train

Front Office Management
Maintain a professional, welcoming, accommodating main office environment for parents, staff, students, and visitors
Answer phones. Redirect inquiries as may be appropriate. Relay messages to staff in a timely manner
Handle all shipping and/receiving responsibilities including FedEx, UPS, Messenger service and postage systems.
Redirect students to class and ensure that their needs are met.

Student Information
Maintains student ID records.
Printing new ID's as necessary on the CASS System.
Maintain student files for accuracy and organize/file as required by state law

Supplies and Equipment Maintenance
Assist the Operations Manager and Operations Associate process staff supply requests
Maintain a system to order, purchase, receive, inventory and return goods completed through purchase order in conjunction with Operations Associate
Maintain office equipment (i.e. ensure copiers are operational and fully stocked with toner, paper, etc.)

Facilities Management
Manage system of daily facility requests and needs from staff
Ensure mailings go out in a timely fashion
Pick up/ distribute mail to appropriate parties
Work with building custodial staff to ensure cleanliness of facilities
Maintains school calendar and updates website as necessary.
Provide Network Staff with a list of our events monthly.

General Support
Support the Operations Manager with administrative tasks as directed
Process, produce, and distribute school-wide memos
Assist the Operations Manager in preparing the campus annually for start-up/new
Assist instructional team with distribution of progress reports, sub plans and copies.
Assist Special Education Coordinator with mailings home and offers her general support.
Processes any copy requests.
Perform additional tasks as assigned

Additional tasks and expectations:
Keeps supervisor informed as to the status of projects or problems that arise.
Understands and adheres to school policy, procedures, and internal office routines.
Ensures that students return to class when needed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
