Registered Nurse Utilization Management

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of duties requiring in-depth knowledge and advance skills of patient treatment and care planning across the patient care continuum and has experience in a variety of clinical settings/levels of care Performs ongoing reviews of patient admissions and continue stays hospital days as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Attend interdisciplinary discharge planning rounds. Refer variances for secondary review and to the Physician advisor for approval. Participate in the designated inter-rated reliability process. Knowledge of statistical analysis, short- and long-term planning, work measurement techniques, qualitative analysis, program planning, and computer data base management is required; compiles information and data, summarizes and analyzes findings, develops recommendations, and presents recommendations in report form. Develops guidelines and new methods to address deficiencies and implement improvements Applies advance interpersonal communication, evidence-based knowledge, and clinical expertise to guide the interdisciplinary team in the appropriate use of clinical services and to enhance the continuity of care and process improvement. Performs additional Quality Management service activities and completed general QM projects in support of other major QM functions including Performance Improvement, Patient Safety, Risk Management (peer reviews) Work Schedule:

(1) Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. (2) Graduation from School of Nursing (a) Graduate of a school of professional nursingapproved by the appropriate State agency , and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
1. The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing located at 61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, New York 10006 or 2. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). (c) In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration and the possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. (3) Registration a) Condition of Employment. A registered nurse (RN) will have a current, full, active and unrestricted registrationas a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia. The RN must maintain a current, full, active and unrestricted registration to continue employment with VA. (4) Physical Standards. See VA Directive and Handbook 5019. (5) English Language Proficiency. RNs appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d). Preferred Qualifications Five (5) years of successful nursing practice-minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care settings, informatics, PI activities, like Sig Sigma training or any other PI training. BSN Grade Determinations Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
