Academic Physician (Pathologist)

Daily reading and report the anatomic pathology cases including surgical pathology, cytopathology and autopsy pathology Provide clinical laboratory consultation to technical personnel and healthcare providers Teach Mount Sinai pathology residents, medical students, allopathic medicine students and other healthcare personnel who seek training within the field of pathology Perform/supervise autopsy Review and supervise residents with the large gross specimens Participating in Quality Assurance review of 10% anatomic pathology case monthly Provide on-call services Review hematology fluids and issues diagnostic interpretation Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Physical requirements outlined below. Board Certified or Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or Anatomic Pathology (The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) , Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) standards will apply) Preferred
Experience:
5 years experience in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology Services with excellent diagnostic skills. Specialty boarded in Molecular Pathology or Hematopathology, or 5 or more years' experience in Molecular Pathology or Hematopathology Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical. Position requires walking, standing, reading typewritten material without strain, ability to hear conversational voice, emotional and mental stability, and working closely with others. Incumbent may be exposed to blood and body fluids. Must be able to physically respond when needed by prompt appearance at required location.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
