Physician (Nephrology)

The Staff Nephrologist duties include, but are not limited to:
Diagnosis, treatment and care of patients suffering from kidney disorders that include kidney problems, including inflammatory diseases in kidney tissues and kidney blood vessels, kidney stones, acute kidney failure, and cystic kidney disease. Maintains and ensures that relevant patient records are properly updated and filed physically or in a computer database. Provides active supervision and teaching for nephrology residents and other trainees as needed. Provision of Tele services as needed. Malpractice:

8 hours Annual Leave accrued per biweekly pay period; 4 hours Sick Leave accrued per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays. Incentives:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Experience in providing care to transplant patients. Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, as required by VA Handbook 5019, administered by VA Occupational Health.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
