ICU Registered Nurse

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for closely observing patients, noting specific procedures and prescribed medication for each case. Assisting doctors in providing physical assessments and administering treatments Monitoring vital signs and ensuring the proper functions of feeding tubes, ventilators, catheters and other life support equipment Work efficiently with other practical nurses and nursing assistants in the ICU ward and be able to provide clear directions and guidance for procedures and routines Provide support and education to the patient's family, answering questions and giving vital instructions on how to care for the patient Contribute as members of an interdisciplinary health care team and as consultants on health related committees to plan and implement the health care needs of consumers. Identify, through case-finding and critical analysis, a patient's, family's, or community's deviation from health and wellbeing and advocate for, initiate and recommend appropriate actions including the establishment of safe environments. Manage and deliver restorative or palliative care to the ill, disabled and dying. Work Schedule:

(1) Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. (2) Graduation from School of Nursing (a) Graduate of a school of professional nursingapproved by the appropriate State agency , and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
1. The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing located at 61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, New York 10006 or 2. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). (c) In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration and the possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. (3) Registration a) Condition of Employment. A registered nurse (RN) will have a current, full, active and unrestricted registrationas a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia. The RN must maintain a current, full, active and unrestricted registration to continue employment with VA. (4) Physical Standards. See VA Directive and Handbook 5019. (5) English Language Proficiency. RNs appointed to direct patient care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d). Preferred Qualifications 2-3 years Critical Care Experience BSN Grade Determinations Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
